Poll: The Impact of the Epic Pass

My guess is there are more ski days as there are more pass holders and if you have a pass you ski more, as an additional ski day makes for better pass value rather than additional lift ticket expense. I doubt there are more skiers.

    Belleayre Conditions

Definitely prefer the run outs to runs with 400' of vertical. And wish they would make snow over the road and lot let all the runs have distinct run outs down to Discovery. Keep Overlook as a ski to spot for folks who love it if there is demand.

    Belleayre Conditions

First time I was ever at Discovery lodge was my most recent visit as the last time I was there was pre-gondola. I was struck by how nice the new lodge was compared to Overlook at least. Bright, clean and spacious with a nice outdoor seating area and restrooms that dont require navigating stairs...

I prioritizing continuous ski runs over old bars. But the idea of a bridge over the parking lot could work too.

    Belleayre Conditions

Wow I see zero advantage to making folks circle around Overlook lodge at the end of each run, and then make the lift ride longer (and the project more expensive). Do the folks who plan these things out ever actually ski the place? A better project for Belleayre: remove the Overlook lodge and...

    Belleayre Conditions

Odd to see Belleayre has now stopped operating either of the "above the road base" lifts so you have to ski at least down to "express' base - which was getting real thin yesterday. I figure they will be only able to operate "above the road" soon.

    Plattekill Conditions

Tons of folks doing that at BEast the Sat before - some clearly parents with kids. They opened the natural snow LiftLine run which is almost never open and only had patches of snow - and everyone could see what they were getting into as it was right under the lift. No idea why folks would choose...

    Plattekill NY: 4/8/23 Closing Day*

Agree on the trail count. But Belleayre today had about 16 runs that were at least 50% distinct, not counting cross-mountain trails.

    Belleayre Conditions

Had a great time at Belleayre today. Almost the whole mountain open other than glades, with very few bear patches but lower mountain is getting thin - I am pretty sure it will be the upper lifts only by next weekend This weekend were my first days at Platte and Belle since before the 5 years in...

Where are you skiing this week?

Skipped skiing today. Plattekill tomorrow and most likely Mt Snow Mon - which I figure will soften earlier than other VT places, especially on slopes facing south and east

Psyched to read "til the end of April". Will hit it April 22 or 23 if still open.

Any idea what the latest weekend they may be open is? Gonna be in the area on April 22, but assume that is very unlikely.

Thanks - debating between GP and Magic/BEast for weekend of 25th-26th. This tells me the fine coverage is much less likely to last that long at GP.
