    Caberfae Peaks. Cadillac,Mi 11/25/22

Finally got my ski season started. Coverage was decent for Nov 25th, but there were some bare spots which is not the norm for them, but last Friday night into Saturday morning they had a power failure and lost about 10-12 hours of prime snowmaking weather. It was around 18 degrees and the best...

    Holiday Valley Conditions

Ellicottville didn't get anything close to the 5-6 feet of snow they got 15-20 miles to the north. While 2 feet of snow is great, it's not that much for building a base

    Michigan Conditions

About a foot of Lake Michigan powder going to waste. Still should be good mixed in with a nice manmade snow with temps in the teens for next Friday

    Michigan Conditions

Nubs has some of if the not the best grooming and manmade snow I have skied on. I will also give Mt Holly a honorable mention for manmade snow quality, Holly's problem is being in SE Michigan they get hit with the the freeze cycle too much.

    Michigan Conditions

Three or so of those runs are the ones they are making snow on their web cam right now. Nubs has around 1.3 snow guns per skiable acre and that is off a little because they also have glades that do not have snow making on it, I would bet it closer to 1.5 guns per acre of non glade terrain

I am sure their goal is to open by the 25th. I know that is Caberfae Peaks goal.

    Michigan Conditions

Not 100% sure, but I seem to recall after a good solid two to three days of solid snow making they will open. Also they won't open with a 6" base either just to say they are open. I t will be in the 12"-24" range

    Michigan Conditions

As far as Michigan all the ski resorts except Mt Bohemia are normally open by mid December. Also as far as first to open on the state I think Mt Holly, Pine Nob and Alpine Valley in the suburbs of Detroit could be open by the end of the week. Now it won't be much but it will have lift service...

    How Shaggy Skis are Made

The Brockway 90"s. Great ski in hard pack and crud. But also just wide enough to handle around 6" of new snow without a problem.
