The "Why isn't there a Cat Thread"? Thread

We lost her yesterday. I think one of my neighbors ran her over with a SxS. She was a great cat. Loved hunting and Sushi... hated other cats. RIP Win-Win... we'll miss you.

    Today's Ride

Wandering around in the state park behind my house. This was the place to ski before Mission Ridge was developed in the mid 60's. I covered almost the entire system. Lots of different options with lots of well developed high-bank hairpin turns. There's a skills park along with a couple of...

    Today's Ride

A scenic ride over to our local Bavarian circus... very scenic ride through Monitor, Cashmere, Dryden, and Peshashten. Leavenworth is a beautiful spot (x0 has reported as a visitor from here also). It's the place to stay if you want to ski Stevens... it's about a 30 minute drive to the ski...

    The Incredible Music Thread

Interesting mix of musicians here. The guitar player looks like the millennial version of Alice Cooper

    Overcrowding at Trailheads

Yeah. I haven't been bald for quite some time now... this is a more accurate representation. I think it's a selfy taken while driving to the ski area on a powder day.⛷?

    Overcrowding at Trailheads

Yup. I threw it out. You may be right, but it had some weight to it. To be fair, I didn't give it a thorough inspection. There was no recoil from foul odor as one might expect when approaching a freshly soiled diaper. It was 104 and bone dry. Shit really doesn't stink under those...

    Overcrowding at Trailheads

This is the 2nd diaper this week  :poop: This one is even more frustrating because there is a garbage can within eye-shot

    Earliest Big Event You Remember

Blizzard of 78. I was 4. I don't remember the actual snow totals, but the memory of being at the end of our driveway with piles of snow that were at least twice my height will be with me forever.

    Where are they now?

That's a bummer. He & I didn't agree on much, but I really enjoyed sparring with him every now & then

    Where are they now?

If I'm not mistaken, he was banned shortly before the conversion to NYSB 2.0

The "Why isn't there a Cat Thread"? Thread

From an outdoor recreation perspective, cats are not nearly as capable as dogs. I would certainly like to see more action-oriented cats, but having a dog as a companion in the outdoors is much more natural. Cats are very entertaining indoors. Outdoors, they're either being lazy or hunting...

    Today's Hike

Rolling down low today. A brutal heat-wave is on the way, but today was pretty pleasant with exception of wind out of the North. The first 10 miles were straight into the wind (sustained 15mph, with gusts up to 30). I used an e-biker as a shepherd early, but she attacked on the climb up to...

These guys are all outside. Oz-man is too fat to hunt. He just lays around on the patio and puts on more weight. The other two are pretty vicious predators. I often have to kill many wounded rodents. My wife has quite the shoe collection. When you have 100 pairs of shoes, there are pairs...

Nelly. We got her a couple of weeks ago. This is the Ozz-man and Fitzpatrick. Fitz and Winnie. These 2 really don't get along.

    Today's Ride

I've got a bunch of skis and snowboards for sale too if you're interested.:eek::) Trying minimalize my gear inventory before I move down into the valley. There's room for 1 bike, 1 snowboard, and 1 pair of skis

    Today's Ride

Gearing and geometry are huge. My setup is fairly upright. The reach is fairly short. It's the first bike that I feel as comfortable riding on the drops as I do on the hoods. I'm considering a tranny update. I'm thinking of going from 1x to 2x. I'm finding more range is needed when riding...

    Today's Ride

My road bike now hasn't been taken off the trainer since I got my gravel bike. I have moved away from MTB over the past few years. I broke my nose a couple of seasons ago. Riding downhill on my MTB has not been the same since. Ultimately, I would like to have only 1 bike. A well-built...
