Looks like I for sure will be skiing Plattekill when I visit NY this winter. It was a nice surprise to see them as a perk of the Caberfae Peaks Pass. What a great deal for $279

Crystal has more runs than Caberfae, but they are very redundant and a fair amount shorter. Also Crystal is a resort with spas and condos and other than a very basic 36 room hotel, Caberfae is a true ski area. If you call to make a ski and stay reservation at Caberfae they will tell you we are...

I am Troy NY born person who had to move to metro Detroit in 1984 and for me Holiday Valley and the town of Ellicottville is a treat for me for a 5 hour drive. I feel it skis bigger than the vertical. They make the best of what they have. No it doesn’t compare to the bigger places farther east...

At around the 15 min mark they have an off road course that is done at Plattekill

The D8 lift at Boyne Mtn a foot rest that is more snowboarder friendly. It uses small triangles vs the bar that went across.
