Nice cream cheese type snow at Caberfae Peaks on Saturday. The snow held up well into the evening. Also great lunch.

Unfortunately they didn’t have anything that would fit me.

The power issues have been fixed. Not sure what kind of amp service they have to the plugs but they also have two microwaves

They were always busy and in 2020 to get a Saturday tee time you had to make it by Wednesday or you were golfing until 4 or 5 in the afternoon

Caberfae Peaks got South Peak open this weekend. While not a powder day, the snow was a very nice machine made with a little natural snow mixed in for a nice packed powder snow. They were very busy as seen by the number of crock pots being used

They closed the golf course in 2020. I played it once in a golf outing. I liked the layout and it was in very good shape. Not 100% sure why Vail closed the course

7.5 shoe and 25.5 ski boot

They are going to bring extra equipment with them, I am not sure what they will have or if they will have a boot that will fir me. This just a group of people and not a ski shop so choices are limited

Back to Caberfae Peaks telefest is Saturday, if they have boots that fir me I am going to try it out.

There are tree trunks under the snow. It’s all sand there and the tree trunks help stop the wind from eroding the hill

Manmade snow is more durable than natural snow and think of how long piles of natural snow lasts in parking lots

What other lift are they supposed to run at the base that would shorten the line with the gondola waiting for a gearbox?

If I am not mistaken the Bear Cub lift is a Sky Track. I hope it’s not down due to a problem with the lift. Here in Michigan Nub Nob just put a Sky Track lift in and it was down for about a week for a controller issue. I hope that is not the case, if it is not a good look for Sky Track

The snow at Caberfae started out hard packed and quickly turned to lots of sugar snow. Cold air is coming and will help greatly. But still fun to be out skiing.
