In Fla they are ambush predators. You fish with a frog or artificial mouse. They live in the weeds along the banks.

It is a fish I have been trying to catch in fla They ar great fighter and fantastic tk eat. They are now a sought after game fish

First time reading about this particular catch, I’ve seen this type of fish caught if the story is true about using 2 pound test was totally insane. 2 pound test is as thin as sewing thread. Also that fish has a gazillion teeth.
