Sweet. That’s how you do April in the ADK!

I felt for these poor guys this afternoon ….Slides went Gold, in line at the Summit Quad, visions of Slides dancing in there heads and…..boom…Quad goes down. They did get the Quad going again at some point. Finished my East Coast season on a beautiful Spring run down Sky. What a day.

Until tomorrow…..

The whole two feet of snow, Slides days, before the eclipse from the top o’ the DAKs may be a decent front pager, I s’pose. :p

Forecast not as good as it was a few days ago….but the Adirondacks currently look to be the best bet in NY. Fingers crossed. I’ll be skiing the Memorial Highway, clouds or no. I’m sure it’ll be a hell of a scene, regardless of how much of the eclipse we do/don’t see!!

Silver it was, then Gold around noon…..and then the Summit Quad went down. Done for the day was the word at the lift. Slowly limping the lift to get a full set of chairs unloaded, unless something changes pronto ain’t nobody getting up there by 2:00. I got three runs in, legs are toast...

We shall see, I’ll just be happy to get in again tomorrow if it happens. While I appreciate less traffic with restrictions, I guess the more the merrier if it goes Gold.
