As I run the the 06z gfs..It show a prime example of what I am talking about , Very sharp deep and cold through at 500mb...It spins up imo a mega super storm...This feature is still in the tea leaves.. i'm just posting it for entertainment !! First pic is of 500mb , not strong ridge in the...

means nothing in term of storm location...but a sharper deep trough will spin up a storm...location well that's anyones guess

I skied Xmas eve day..For Sh...and giggles I priced Hunter and Bell....3 day prior I went on line, Hunter was 160$ Bell was 108... 160 for Hunter is F'n insane!!!! Lets us all hope the Vail goes bust.... I was able to score a Bell tkt through a corporate discount for 75$
