This is the first time in my season pass history that Lookout has been open during Chevy Weekend, at least when that event has been on its normal schedule. In 2023, it was moved to the second weekend of President's Week due to the university games.

It's not 100% by Christmas, it's all lifts by Christmas. I like to see all snowmaking trails by MLK Weekend or at least the end of January. But yes, Gore is far enough behind that there will likely be many trails that don't make the cut.

Thanks for the update. They're doing an excellent job with snowmaking this year. I think just Supertrail, Upper Standard, and Lift Line they have not gotten to yet.

Did anyone lay eyes on Bear Down or Free Fall? Free Fall was reported open and groomed, but they hadn't previously reported snowmaking on it. Meanwhile, they reported snowmaking on Bear Down, but it has not opened yet.

This year, the weather was there if you wanted to make something happen. Instead, Gore is actually behind where they were this time last year. Everyone else is way ahead.

Whiteface has every lift available, as in there are open snowmaking trails to all lifts, but doesn't need to use Freeway or Mountain Run. They have the most terrain ever available on this date, and the earliest opening of Wilmington ever.

While I applaud the effort to get Wilmington open this early, and think it should be the strategy every year, they put off a lot of things to make it happen. I think the next priorities will be Upper Valley, the rest of Mountain Run, Danny's Bridge, and the rest of Bear. All of that was skipped...
