    Gore Mountain Conditions

First groom is always the worst. It will get better. They had little Gore lit up yesterday when I was in town early afternoon. I thought Wednesday and Thursday as some of the best skiing this year (I didn't say conditions) I think it makes sense with what they did. They spread it out nicely...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

Good is a relative term. I am plugging my core shots in my favorite former skis for tomorrow. I wish I knew Tahawus was open or thought about it. The BR was closed early and I went off up top. Although I missed Chati glade. Open pit was a super fun experience. Those large rocks poking...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

I am going to bed but my comparison was Friday I was on snow 50 minutes and got 17.5k at WF. Sunday I was on snow 57 minutes and 16.3k at Gore. No bumps or trees at either place. WF had guns on the trails we were skiing and Mountain Run was awesome yet a lot of folks bitched because they...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

Welcome to NYS. Gore is not a private area and they happen to be in an economically depressed area. Whatever Visas they are able to get are loading lifts and, ahem, working parking lol(and you see how well that's going) We're not like Lake Placid that get the cool visa workers. It is what it...

Tom. thanks for bringing this back to the conditions thread. I thought yesterday was way better than what I expected. q, the burntridge quad ran yesterday and kept a lot of the racers and their families there...not enough but not bad. My daughter and I really didn't wait on lines. Worker...

    Whiteface Conditions

With egg on my face or should I say, the face...man I had fun this morning at Whiteface. Going back to my post on Gore, the runs at WF are longer...no bumps or woods but the snow was really nice. There were people complaining about not being able to see because of the snowmaking(us Gore skiers...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

OK so on today...I rode up with a lot of regulars that were bitching and one "Shaman" said what about proactive vs. reactive...The special part of my(our) seriously challenged mountain...We were active. By 10am you could get to our summit...That other mountain in our family to the north did not!

Of those three, although I would never go there unless I was given a pass, is Stratton. I am guessing south and east of here (Saratoga) is going to get more snow Friday into Saturday. I will probably get Gored this weekend. The winds should die down for Friday if that is an option.

    Gore Mountain Conditions

Hmm I was there at 8:15 and my first 5 runs were on the sunway chair. They got AEll running at 10 after shutting the guns off and putting the chairs on. Windy AF until you got to the summit and stayed at Straightbrook. Hawkeye was cord...nice if you like that. Most of Chati was the same...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

I skied WF yesterday and will be at Gore tomorrow. WF has longer runs, that's it. They definitely have more terrain open but to me it's all the same. We need bumps and trees before anything changes.

    Gore Mountain Conditions

We had those discussions on the lift today, Gore skiers always have opinions on what should open, who should ski where, where the guns should go next...ahh how awful things are... but we keep coming back. They had Chati lit up today. Topridge opened. Decent for a first groom. I heard Pine...

Gore Gondi fit my (cork's former) 96s...with a little room to spare. If you're too much over 100s then you're riding snowboards anyway lol. Use the big slot. We were at Stowe on Friday and decided to come home over General Stark Mountain and MRG guns were blazing also lol. The problem with...
