Why would tomorrow be particularly crowded?

You can get MIPS helmets all day for under $75.

    Hunter didn't open today.

Master Class in Monroe has a few. A lot of motorcycle dealerships were sold out of everything good this summer though.

    Hunter didn't open today.

I bought a new motorcycle this summer, for the first time since 04, and I just bought a new Glock. The big purchases are starting to outweigh all the little purchases I'm not making!

    Hunter didn't open today.

I am also hearing that it may be, at least in part, a job action. Source is a former patrol member.

This is much more of a new years eve outbreak. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/clinical-guidance-management-patients.html

    Hunter didn't open today.

My buddy was there and they apparently announced they were not going to open at all at around 10AM. Apparently due to a lack of patrollers. Not sure if this was mostly caused by Vail, coronavirus, or a combination of both, but it's pretty no bueno either way.

    Dark Side Liftline Photos

I mean it's 1/10 of the area, was never part of Gore until the 2000s and was mostly defunct until the state partnered with the town to bring it back. But OK.

The state built every bit of Gore with the exception of Ski Bowl.

    Uphill Battle

Everybody wants something for nothing. I've got 4 days of human powered alpine skiing this year and not one was at a functioning ski area, although a couple were at long defunct areas.

Don't forget to cancel your reservations....

Well yeah, but he was trying to do the right thing. Which leads to a vigorous screwing far more often than it should.

Don't forget to cancel your reservations....

A buddy of mine got one from Epic restricting his ability to ski future dates. He was skiing in the mornings before working afternoon shift and cancelling when he left for the day to free up the spot. As he was advised to do by guest services.

Why was Belle late to open today??

That sounds really risky. Would I ski up Trails End from Upper Cherrytown if I was gonna attempt such a thing?

Why was Belle late to open today??

Ah, I would phrase that as the incompetent boss of a state owned ski area committed an assault at work. Apparently. I do want details though.

Why was Belle late to open today??

I'm guessing this is basically fan fiction.

Why was Belle late to open today??

Oh, I'm aware. One of the things I'm so unhappy about is that the desk at both Overlook and Discovery was still saying nothing was open for so long after they actually had a lift open. They did a bad job.

Touring in the Gunks, NY: Dec 2020

I skinned up Smiley Carriage Rd. Was too nervous about the lack of base to mess around in the trees. Smiley was nice to the waterfall though. The rocky wet section after was impassible on skis though, so I headed back down. Not a bad day.

Why was Belle late to open today??

Spinning empty does no one any good. Customer Service told me that Tomahawk was not open @ approx 11:15. After hours of being told 15-20 minutes. A buddy messaged me that they were open, or I might still be waiting at Overlook to this day. They actually called lift ops in front of me and...

Why was Belle late to open today??

Yeah, I did some poaching and there was plenty of terrain that was good to go. Then they started posting ski patrol at the top of the gondola, to keep people off the other 80% of the mountain. I was irate.

Why was Belle late to open today??

Leaving aside whether it was reasonable to open late, what was unreasonable is that they had the same trails open on Thursday that they did on Wed.
