Of course there are more consequential lines out west. Of course there are more intimidating looking lines out west. You can also get away with a lot due to the snow quality out west. Skiing Paradise with frozen bumps is hard. Skiing Main Chute, with average snow at Alta is not.

It shouldn't. Paradise, for example, is way harder on an average day, than lots of famous west coast runs. It's probably less consequential, but it's usually harder.

What Belleayre was able to offer today was absolutely phenomenal. Every snowmaking trail was open, skiable and fun to ski. I really figured today was going to be more of a bar day, but despite a very large crew of very different level skiers, we hit it all day.

Belle gets way more natural, and their snowmaking is now at least as good as Huntahs. Plus they just spent millions on guns that can blow in marginal temps. I was skiing trees before xmas there, so I wouldn't be surprised if the base was better before this recent unpleasantness.
