I am hoping to go night skiing at Jiminy or West Mt. Wednesday after 3. Friday will chase pow somewhere- probably Belleayere if the OC bus runs. Sat/sun will try Gore or Whiteface or somewhere in VT that is not raining.

I saw the forecast and booked lodging so I can ski next Fri-Sun at Whiteface. Looks promising and I need to practice for Whistler!

Thank you! I hope I may have outgrown the ski sickness because I did ski one day last season at Mt Ellen in ZERO visibility rain/fog but the snow was amazing, and I didn’t get sick. Still I am going to cover my bases by wearing the ear patch above treeline just in case!

Either Gore or Pico on Friday. Pico on Sunday. Going to get fitted for new ski boots on Saturday! I am still wearing my 1st ever pair of ski boots with 85 flex bought in 2018 when I was a never ever skier! They are sooooo packed out. Time to upgrade!

I have never been skiing out west, but I have been to a lot of mountains here on the east. How do the trail ratings compare at say Whiteface/Killington/Stowe/Sunday River/Sugarbush with trail ratings at Whistler Blackcomb? If you can ski all the blues without fear at these east coast mountains...

I had 4 fantastic days of skiing at Whiteface Fri-Mon. Each day was amazing for different reasons. We got 2 bluebird days, one pow day, and one packed powder day! Hardest/gnarliest trail was Upper and Lower Mackenzie on Saturday. Parons was Mr. Snowflake favorite! 1st run on Saturday on Northway...

I was a bit overterrained in there with the giant whale/cliffs and moguls. I made my way through by sideslipping and falling leaf. You must have some mad skills to enjoy that! Props to you.

4:45 AM in Wilmington and there’s maybe 2” of snow stuck to my jeep. I am afraid we may be getting skunked here at Whiteface. Unlikely to see a major pow day at opening today.

Who skis Hoyt’s High and or Lookout Below? How do they compare to other diamonds at Whiteface? I have never skied either of them.
