This is good. Last super warm day in the Tri-Lakes for a while. Weather should be more seasonable for the SuperTour finals.

Basic athletic stance for many sports. I'd like to get my backside lower, skis closer together, and a bit more parallel. I had the sensation of speed even though going comparatively slow... max speed 14mph.

A bluebird, spring day at my local alpine bump. From earlier today (18 March). Met up with @Capt_Planit to earn turns at Mount Pisgah in Saranac Lake. Not sure if my descending skills improved, but I had fun. And of course, good to meet another NYSB person. Come git some while you can.

Yesterday, I volunteered at there bobsled and skeleton championships at the Ho. Those guys and gals were flying. This is men's 2-man bobsled. Women's monobob was later in the day.

There's a race at Paul Smiths VIC today. Yesterday morning: frozen granular, and klister required for kick. Yesterday afternoon, a dang whiteout for 45 minutes, and we're back to hard wax. Wild weather pattern next week.

Good article. When I used to drop into the Ranch Camp trail from the Trapp cabin, I'd often see backcountry skiers coming outta the woods. @dudedude what were World Cup and Broadway like? Bolton has some good nordic trails, but I stopped going there because they were never groomed.

I hope you're right. The 10 day forecasts that I saw aren't promising. Big temperature swings. Grateful for the winter we've had so far.
