My buddy said he turned the flow rate down a bit. He thought is was a bit high. So I'm hopeful it doesn't ever happen again. It's a super old furnace. If/when the time comes to replace it I plan on going with a propane furnace.
You had a delay in ignition, electrode issues? clogged nozzle? Change the oil filter and have someone with the proper equipment do a combustion analysis. And set it up correctly!
Too rich and you end up with a puff back, your whole house will be black!
Too lean and you will screw up your heat exchanger!
