Who's on the DL?

The other days of the week are for yoga. Some people think that yoga is easy. There is a yoga teacher at Cornell who is in her 70s and still rocking arm balances and teaching a core and more class. If you haven't tried yoga, I strongly suggest it. It's a good way to stay flexible, strong and challenge yourself.
The woman who I met at Alta Lodge when she was 90 did yoga every morning before breakfast. She was skiing Alta groomers for 1-2 hours every weekday. She wasn't a local, but had a special little room there for the first two weeks of every ski season month, plus the last three weeks of the season in April. She was still skiing the spring of the year she died during the summer.

I have vague memories of an EpicSki thread by New England men about yoga. They were over 50 or 60 at the time. It was before YouTube was full of exercise videos so they were talking about in-person classes.

A ways back my wife wanted to do a weekly activity together besides biking and skiing (my suggestions) and we landed on a beginner yoga class every Tuesday, followed by dinner and drinks. We did that for a few years then covid hit, the studio sold and the yogi moved away. I found myself missing it as it really helped my shoulder and hip issues. I tried a bunch youtubes before finding Candace’s 15 minute yoga for men, supplemented with some of the yoga loft stretches. I try to do it at least once a week but have been slacking lately due to some shoulder AC joint issues. My running joke is now I have a weekly date with my girlfriend Candace (she is pretty hot!)

Heard a good Arnold quote yesterday that I am adding to my personal list of rules: Movement is life. It was on Shaq's pod cast! Lots of bad things resulting from whatever stage of the information age. One of the good ones is: information.
