Going Under the Knife

Well things have taken a turn for the worse .

Those two anti bacterial anti fungal drugs given bcuz of very low immunity have beat the hell out of my tendons ( Achilles calves and thighs) .

i haven't been able to trail walk for 5 weeks . I used to trail walk now I can only do 3 or 4 blocks and it beats hell out of me bcauz sitting around has also caused wicked back and hip aches . My stamina is just toast now .

I'm going to have to go to UVM early in November for a bone marrow biopsy to see if cancer cells have increased and may need an plasma phoresis ( oil change) . They have not given me any immunity boosting shots bcuz they need to determine if the maintenance drug is causing it which is sometimes the case OR if the % of cancer cells in my bone marrow has increased over a year .

I'm tired : the aches in back groin and legs is sometimes really nasty . I try an get up once an hr and just move around to try and relieve it and my shiatsu massage chair helps .

Hopefully this can be resolved at UVM and necessary treatment modality changes can occur .I'm still positive and make FaceTime and calls to to friends and family . I'm doing the best i can but this is a big change from my active lifestyle.

It's in God's Hands
Thank you guys for your support 🙏

That back is killing me today and I wore the softer brace to bed too ugh

BUT one bit of good news I was tested for possible Digoxin (AFib) rx toxicity and electrolytes imbalance which cause serious kidney issues and back pain and extreme fatigue which I have experienced because of Dr JBs insisistance yesterday ...... GOOD news NO issues ..one less thing to worry about 💪

I think when I go to UVM in November which will be determined next week and they finally figure out whether the maintenance Rx caused low immunity or there's more cancer cells in marrow then they will have a CLEAR path to treatment either way one thing that will I assume be given are Immunity BOOSTING shots with each treatment like in the past during regular chemo sessions before they put me in Maintenance

When that happens I assume back issues will lessen to typical OLD JOCK back ache which I can handle with exercise 💪

But then again WTH do I know 😁

Keep on moving & stretching but bears were given the gift to sleep all winter for some reason.
Naps and a good nights sleep are good for ya.

I’m going thru a bit of golfing withdrawal symptoms since the nice golf weather turned off.
Dang mud on the ball season is back.

Thank you Men I appreciate all your support

Yesterday Wednesday was the absolute most painful day in my life . The back pain was Crushing an 11 on a 10 point scale

i was in agony . Couldn't move tried to get up go downstairs i looked like a guy at deaths door .

Could not straighten up walk to the john .I tried to get in the car that was the stupidest thing

If i coughed or sneeze it became worse . It was misery . I slept semi upright in a recliner all nite had heating pad on all nite . I had a lidocaine patch on all afternoon.
I had to take the Magic pee pill to get rid of Edema in ankles from inactivity.

texted my primary doc he told me that bad tendon issues from that damn anti fungal can take weeks to resolve and to just rest elevate legs take Tylenol around the clock take the Magic Pee Pill.

Do NOT exercise or stretch it's the worst thing I could do with THIS particular tendon calves thighs issue .

He said if it doesn't improve this weekend call him and he will do a couple of things set me up with PT andterv message and consider an additional pain med .

After sleeping in the chair the pain is somewhat better. I can walk to the john and dining room without sharp pain just deep ache . Coughing or sneezing no longer is painful . Still using lidocaine patch

This pain was the worst of my life compared to Heart attack ,open heart surgery, kidney stones or hip Replacement surgery 😪 or old football injuries

I am thankful to be somewhat better. I think my wife is an angel for all she doing and now will be driving me to Vt if necessary

Thanks again guys skiers are The Best

Wow. That's some kind of toughness. Pro tip: don't bet against this guy!
Thank you for your kind words . I'm humbled I am nothing special the mental toughness is something I've had to learn over the decades and with God's help itgets me thru some difficult issues

Im feeling somewhat better again today I can at least move around on my own the pain is now a deep ache which is a welcome relief

Hopefully this continues and if I'm still smart enough to follow Drs orders and rest up and elevate legs and be patient imay be able to PT. But I'm hanging in there
