The house smells like wild leeks again. Blue Toes took advantage of the cold snap and lack of bugs to get another leaf pick done. She'll go for bulbs next week, they should be phat by then. Even the flowers are tasty, nice garnish on a salad (they come later).

The house smells like

Rancid garbage with a hint of salami and burning tires. Was away for a few days and upon returning could not figure out the source of this awful smell. After some hunting, I found the source in the fridge.

Slipitz had slipped this in the back of the crisper. You can probably smell it from Canada.

Reminds of “Moosh Bags” My childhood friends and I got bored one Summer and someone came up with the idea of a “Moosh bag” . Take anything that you could find , berries, paint, grass, mushrooms unfinished dinner you name it the smellier the better . Put in a plastic bag with some rocks and leave it ferment. Then a week later throw it in the air and run .

Yeah, we had leek bulbs in the fridge for a few days, even that got a bit ripe. Frozen now.
