The Belleayre GM/ORDA VP of operations for all three mountains had a hasty “early retirement.”
Wonder when it’ll hit the “news”.

This was announced November 26,2024:
"Bruce Transue, the general manager of Belleayre Mountain in Highmount, will become the vice president of Alpine venues operations."

"During her first year, she (ORDA President Ashley Walden) was focused on learning the ropes within the organization. Since their work evolves through each season, she felt she had to experience a full year before making these kinds of shifts."
Imagine wasting a year and admitting it because you were so unprepared for the job.

"Many like the job she’s doing—37% strongly approve and 35% strongly disapprove and 28% were “passive” to the question—but a majority do not know or understand the direction of the authority. Most feel they are not recognized or valued or placed in a positive work environment."
This paragraph is an editorial contradiction that makes zero sense.
"The workforce gives ORDA flunking grades across the board for its commitment to sustainability programs—even after investments in an electric groomer and ice resurfacer, solar panels and high-efficiency snow guns."
Right, I am sure 'sustainability' is what the workforce is concerned with, not the crap work environment or wages or benefits.
