A bluebird, spring day at my local alpine bump. From earlier today (18 March). Met up with @Capt_Planit to earn turns at Mount Pisgah in Saranac Lake. Not sure if my descending skills improved, but I had fun. And of course, good to meet another NYSB person. Come git some while you can.

Skis are Fischer S-Bound 98 Crown/Dual Skin. Full length metal edge; Rottefella Xplore bindings where you clip in at the side of your foot, not the toe. I was skeptical, but I like them. Alpina Pioneer Pro boots.

On a side note, Madshus just released a skate boot where one clips in under the ball of the foot, rather than the toe.

Full Metal Edge... a title for a ski movie? I better copyright that.

I love this, “I’m here for it. Let’s go.”, fighter’s position.

Basic athletic stance for many sports. I'd like to get my backside lower, skis closer together, and a bit more parallel. I had the sensation of speed even though going comparatively slow... max speed 14mph.
