The Hawk quad takes 11 minutes. The gondola takes 8 minutes. So if one person boards the Hawk quad but another skis all the way down to the gondola entrance and rides to the top, the second person will probably arrive first. I think I always kind of instinctively knew that but I'd never actually timed it out.

Those are both considerably slower than the times listed in the Liftblog database which I assume are just calculated from max rope speed. I know lifts often don't run at max speed, but why do Hawk and Overlook in particular run so slow given that they serve no beginner terrain? Is it to accommodate the mid-station unload?
