Slightly outside NY Ski bounds, but you can technically see the Adirondacks from the peak so it still counts? Continuing tours based off of Best Backcountry Skiing, this one’s a partial within Bolton resort. Pretty amazing how quiet the uphill tracks are even when right next to a resort with full weekend crowds.

Plans to start the Nordic trails Broadway and World Cup, connect to Bryant trail to Bryant camp, then Heavenly Highway and Stowe View, finally taking the downhill ski trails back.

Biggest navigation challenge of the day was finding the start. Took a bunch of walking back and forth before I realized that the Nordic trails are not directly behind the Nordic center building but a few streets down instead. Adventuring before the adventure!

The trails up to Bryant camp were groomed so progress was quick. Note to self to rent Bryant camp for a future trip.. what a place to serve as base for exploring the glades around.

The trails past Bryant camp got much tighter, but every now and then would open up into some beautiful glades. Lots to explore in future trips.

Part of the reason for choosing this tour was that conditions had been overcast and snowing all morning. Thankfully the clouds broke midday and there was actually some blue sky to be seen by the time I got to Stowe view. Kinda.

A short push through some rolling trails connected back to the main Bolton downhill trails. Conditions were great on the trails, so given the short tour I made one more lap up the ski area uphill track.

Stats and track below. Will need to base out of Bryant camp and explore the glades around it.
