Well back to east coast reality... According to the ECMWF, Thurs and this coming weekend's storm both due us dirty...Both have snow changing to rain all the way to the Cad boarder...Also in typical east coast fashion we will have to deal with arctic air on Monday
But if you want big snows head west young people

So much for the Catskills glade fest that was shaping up. Damn east coast.

I hope WF opens the Slides today and somebody get to enjoy it before Ma Nature fouls it up!

Not that it matters for me because I’ll be on Cape Cod surfing and not skiing anywhere…but forecasts for the ADKs haven’t yet all given up on the Sat - Sun storm being all snow, but the tea leaves are there.

Keeping it winter weather related…..Friday looks very windy on Cape, and not in a good offshore kind of way. Sunday looks windy/snowy/rainy/big surf, so terrible. Sat and Mon do have some potential, so at least I’ll get the board to the beach and get wet if it’s remotely worthwhile. My winter surfing sessions usually tend to suck, more of a ‘do it because I can than do it because I should’ thing, more often than not. Not that it’s very often, only a couple times a winter.

just saw the 12z gfs....I still think it will mix at Face but maybe not that much...Looks like Stowe and Jay might hold on...There might also be a major upslope event at Jay...

Used to be Marconi mostly, until the new stairs they built in the spring washed away in the fall and beach access was limited. Since then Nauset Light mostly, but over New Years it seems Coast Guard has become a hotter spot? Shifting sands and all…

as of now it's raining in the cats late Sat night to mid afternoon Sunday...

Snowing in Saratoga Springs as well. Calling for 4-8" this weekend now, I think the doomsayers are wrong about what this weekend will bring in the north.
