The Fire and Rain and Smoke Thread

Yup....I'm in Hillsdale. NY, about 15 miles west of Great Barrington.

We had a vet appointment yesterday over in GB and could see the smoke coming up from the mountains, something I've never witnessed before.

Ski Butternut is soaking the mountain with their snowmaking equipment, and helis are scooping water from their snow making ponds.

Thankfully it is pouring rain right now for the first time in months, hoping that helps the firefighter's efforts.
