Greeting from the high desert climate in NNJ!
It is still clear and sunny after 2.5 months and already 59F. The low temp last night was 39F. Humidity is 47% and the dewpoint is 38 degrees.

Changes are coming

Looks like the rock skis may be coming out this weekend. I have several weather sights showing 8-12 inches at platty by 8am on 11/23/24. Anyone else seeing this?

Snow would be nice, hope we get an inch of rain down here in jersey out of this.

Changes are coming

It’s coming in wet at first then higher elevations should get snow . Should help put out fires and lower risks for new ones. Coming in wet should help it stick as winds pick up. Wrap around lake effects are temperature dependent as The Big O is still 50-55F on top.

Might be gack-a-licious which helps early ski season base building.

Right now Weatherunderground 10day forecast has rain/snow everyday from Thursday thru Thanksgiving eve.

Might be time to get golfing clubs outta the car & finish organizing the skiing stuff.

Yea I’m seeing some insane totals out there. This is the latest GFS run by Friday at 8pm. 20 plus in some cases. Other sites are showing more moderate totals but still all 8 plus. This could be nice looks like platty is in the jackpot as of now with this

Let’s keep the pattern the way it’s been, shall we? Hasn’t the sunshine and warm weather been great? Mountain biking is where it’s at!

It has been going OFF this past week in BC and the N. Cascades. Mount Baker already has a base depth of 65” at Heather Meadows (79” on Pan Dome). Whis is also looking primo for opening this week.
