Met with local oncologist here yesterday. The good news All treatment will be here and Not going to UVM at All ,all winter etc except one day every 3 months for office visit.

Both docs here and there working together on the issue. I'm going to ask if the Vt appts can be virtual .

More good news no more travel to Malone ,175 mile round trip every Monday at crack of dawn for lab work.

It will be done here now that primary care is here .. this saves us a PIA and cuts our overall travel costs .

Still feeling fine taking extended walks outside every day now . My 72 hr Holter Heart Monitor report came out fine ...No Issues ,heart ,lungs , kidneys all cked out fine

Thankful, lots to be grateful for . Thank u one and all for pumping up my sneakers,now we continue to do our best to get this new chemo protocol to be effective and get this problem into remission

Start my new chemo routine Thursday ,2 days a week ,plus a weekly lab for several months . Hope I can handle side effects of 3 new drugs plus one I had been on for a couple of months.

Combo of pills , infusion and shots .happy to get started insurance took a bit of time and the pills had to be shipped to me from specialty oncology rx firm

OK no reactions do far I in the infusion center now since 8:30 , no bad reactions so far and I took 20 pills at 7:20 am. 12 of them are the nasty chemo pills

Feel good thankful that it's not affecting me so far. Got 90 minutes to go on the infusion, then I get a steroid shot which may cause edema . But I have ample supply of The "Magic Pee Pill " on hand ,this ain't my first rodeo with THAT usually lasts couple of days

More good news only one day of treatment each week per cycle (3 weeks) second day is strictly weekly blood test

Even better news infusion is ONLY on day 1 of each cycle ,the other 2 weekly treatments that is for 2nd and third weeks are Shots plus the 12 nasty chemo pills

.Not certain how many 3 week cycles will be done ,scheduled now thru first week in January 2025.

So one week a month I have OFF
