Considering it was a moderately wet summer in ROC I'll gladly take an extended drought.

You're right the gray and wet will return soon enough. Just hope it's not a thousand year rain storm.
 
What's actually causing this? A Nino, a Nina, a dip, a trough, a ridge, a dome? Or just random weather patterns that just keep missing us?
 
I don’t think we’re all that far outside of normal variations. Some times it rains a lot and some times it doesn’t. I’m just a bit north of you and it hasn’t rained heavily in a while but earlier this year, it felt like we getting a decent soak every couple days. My lawn is still lush and green and I don’t water it

It's so hot and sunny I had to put my shade down. We're stealing these days now 😎

Patterns flip , hopefully the cold accompanies the precipitation return.

Always a bad omen for ski season a cold October with early snow. Seeing the glass half full.
