Going Under the Knife

Ugh tested positive for Covid today on Paxlovid ,as if Blood Cancer wasn't enough. Can't win for losing .

Fortunately The Queen tested Negative had her Covid booster this week after we got back from chemo at UVM on 26 th and 27th. This newer stronger chemo knocked me on my butt for a few days now this UGh I thought it was my allergies acting up for past 10 days ,no fever just hacking and bringing up mostly clear chit from head and chest then it had some yellow so told to test this am .

Scheduled to be back at UVM for more chemo in 2 weeks . I gained some weight back thankfully now 190 ,appetite is fine ,no fever ,no major aches ....hopefully paxlovid does the trick in next 5 days

Was very concerned bcuz this blood cancer creates a war in your immune system but docs here and UVM oked paxlovid ....

..fingers crossed I ain't ready to ride the pines just yet

Warp, you are a true warrior 💪
Thank you kind sir ,

Given the cancer diagnosis, I recently retired from our regional hospital board of directors after serving 30 yrs .
Our CEO told me " you are mentally toughest person I've ever met, with that strength and tenacity you WILL handle this journey and fight like hell, that's who you are "

Sometimes I wonder if it's just dumb ya know what I'm sayin' 😉

Done with Covid feel ok,as far as cancer is concerned my numbers are meh ,not improving but heading back to UVM Wednesday for chemo sessions Thurs and Friday then back home Saturday.

Hopefully lab data goes in right direction this Thursday or they may do my 8th aperesis (oil change for one's plasma) session instead not certain ,but we'll do whatever it takes

Had a bad day yesterday my heart started beating very irregularly . I have had a failed ablation for a fib yr ago so was concerned about irregular heartbeat ,dropping pulse rate knowing I've got a couple chemo session in vt Thursday and Friday

Called my doc here did ekg cleared for chemo this week after consulting Dr's here and vt.

result :,When I return home next week will wear a heart monitor for 3 days to determine why and go from there . It's a non life threatening event for most and I'm much better today after Dr's appts, but given my heart history it MUST be taken care of

. So not sure if it's more Rx, another ablation if required or a pacemaker until monitor results are analyzed

It been a daunting 4 months between recent rare cancer diagnosis ,covid 10 days ago and now my ticker acting up again 😒

I'm weary of this constant turmoil BUT will make the best of it. Just thankful I started feeling better yesterday after seeing my doc. Hopefully Better days are ahead 🙏

Ugh continued they did NOT do chemo today nor tomorrow things have worsened

The numbers are not good enough so the efficacy of chemo is questionable so one more lab draw could determine what's next

It might be a drug instead of chemo but the initial version of the drug MAY cause serious issues with heart ,but the latest version of the drug has a lower propensity of doing that......oh it can but %is lower .

Disappointed you bet but understand the efficacy of the treatment IS THE GOAL .Feel frustrated that this cancer is such chaos and a part of me say a quarter of a million and it ain't working, but everything as farev as treatment modality is dependent on the numbers

So lv a day earlier than planned and no real idea when I return all : "depends" on data from labs

Discouraged 😞 but still fighting to best of my ability and my faith sustains me
