Endo's All Time Favorite Skis Thread

Still can't believe I was skiing 197s back then. I'm only 5'6"!

I can't contribute much to this thread, but the longest skis I ever skied off a chair lift were 210s. I'm 5'9 in heels. đź‘

🤠

I’m on my 3rd pair of 2007 B2 Bandits. They are still popping up on eBay. My last pair may have been used twice. I like to dip into side country a lot and it’s not as painful when I hit rock as I only have a $150.00 invested.
I still remember when I tried a “shaped” ski for the first time at a Bridger Bowl demo day circa 2000/2001. That ski (Rossignol Bandit X) blew my mind. I always think about that day when I see someone in the lift line with Bandits. So thank you Sbob for still skiing old-school Bandits and keeping their memory alive!

Not tech savvy enough to start a new thread or what the heading should be. Maybe, Date yourself, have you owned any of these skis?

Ooops, finally read the article, so here's an answer to the original question. As a youth, I lusted after a pair of Olin Mk 4s but never owned them. As a young adult getting into telemark skiing in the 80s, I stumbled across a set of Hexcel Comps in the thrift store and screwed a set of Rottefella Super Telemark clamps onto them. Those of you who tele-d on leathers can imagine how interesting it was to get the 203 Hexcels to turn with leather tele boots of that time (or were they 207s?). I skied those planks at Whiteface in the mid-80s and have a vivid memory of sliding face-first on my stomach down some really steep run near the summit and finally self-arresting with my poles. Didn't want those longboards windmilling, not releasing, and probably breaking both my legs. Good times back in the day.

How to improve? Pls suggest.

I've had Harts, Pre's and Olin's ---- I don't miss any of them. LOL

These new skis are like cheating, but I certainly like them. I do miss my Atomic Yellow Sleds --- those things would rip.
