    Gore Mountain Conditions

Thanks for the link. Looks like the frequent skier card would give discounts for single day tickets only, not multi-day tickets, right? Trying to figure out the breakeven point for a multi-day trip.

    Gore Mountain Conditions

Regardless of the reasoning it is always a bummer when cool terrain is lost. Down in my home area in the mid-atlantic we used to have this great narrow run that was separated from a wider slope by a line of trees. When it snowed the snow really piled up nicely. 20 years ago or so mgmt decided to...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

As a new Gore skier I was not fully aware of the history of the High Peaks lift. Was the basic trade-off getting people a bit closer to the top of Straightbrook at the cost of ruining part of the liftline run?

    Gore Mountain Conditions

The issue with keeping the snow report in sync with patrol opening/closing runs is an issue at many resorts. I guess it is not considered a priority, which is frustrating. At my local resort this season my son drove up a couple hours from college to ski a newly cut run that was listed as open...

Good to hear they opened up Lies again. When I was there this week it was open on Wednesday but closed on Thursday.

    Gore Mountain: 3/6 - 3/7/24

Would love to check out Plattekill someday. If I was closer I would look to do it a week out if it looked like a good storm was coming. Being 7-8 hours away I would probably need to do it as part of a larger trip if conditions were good.

    Gore Mountain: 3/6 - 3/7/24

Timberline is a good mountain for the area - 1000 legit vertical, 7-8 runs from the top that take full advantage of the vertical. In good seasons there are numerous glades and unmarked natural snow runs that make it ski much bigger than it looks. This season those runs were only available for...

    Gore Mountain: 3/6 - 3/7/24

@Harvey I live in central Virginia so my home resorts are in West Virginia and Virginia. Timberline WV when there is a powder day, Massanutten VA for my weekly fix.

    Gore Mountain: 3/6 - 3/7/24

Skied Gore for the first time this week and despite some challenging weather we had a very good time. On Wednesday the morning was mostly rain free but starting around 11:30 the rain picked up and we decided to call it a day around 1 PM. Managed 15 runs or so by skiing through lunch, mostly off...

Not ideal weather today for my introduction to Gore but still a lot of fun. Conditions variable in many place, but the Rumor was in great shape. Back at it tomorrow, hopefully we can get a break from this r*in!

Gore / North Creek Lodging and Amenities

Hey all - it's been awhile since I posted here. Looks like I am finally going to be able to make it up to Gore the first week of March. We are looking into staying at the Super 8 near St. George. Reviews are actually pretty good for a Super 8 and per google maps it will be about a 30 minute...
