In a warming world ski resorts need to have the capacity to pump it out when they can. They can't rely on weeks of cold to slowly get things open. Given the consistent cold we've had it's disappointing to see barren slopes, especially at places much much smaller than Gore.

Yeah, but it was early season. I also think the demand is probably higher at Belle because it's a perfect 2 - 3 hour distance from major population centers. If you're driving up to Whiteface you're probably going to stay over in LP and charge their before you get to the mountain

I think I'm just going to take my 5 year old to Mount Peter for a day trip on Saturday, but definitely having Platty FOMO. I'll be there next weekend and then over XMAS.
