ORDA has dropped the ball marketing Mt van Ho.
There used to be a lot more people here on weekends. Last winter, the best in 10 years, way too quiet.
They waited until a month before to post about the Lake Placid Loppet, while NENSA posts its whole entire race schedule by December.
One of VT's advantages over ORDA bumps is on mountain lodging. Not happening inside the Blue Line.
Also, ORDA has done a lousy job of marketing Mount van Hoevenberg. I could cite chapter and verse about people I talked to back in NJ who planned trips to Trapp Family Lodge, Bretton Woods...
If the Texan were to build houses that regular people can afford, I'd be down with that. There's enough second homes inside the Blue Line. FWIW, here in Saranac Lake, there's discussion about closing an elementary school because small student body.
