First ride of the season, pretty good grip, only went down once.

A Basin is the shortest drive and has more expert terrain. It's also the highest in elevation, but not so much that it will make a big difference over the other areas, what's an extra 1000' when you are already up over 12000.

Earned some blissful turns a few days before yesterdays slop. but if the storm shows up this weekend it could be back to fabulous. Lets hope.

NY Mesonet sites are not nearly as optimistic as this site. Generally showing 3-5" at best for Tri Lakes area, less the farther north you go. Crossing fingers that this map is going to pull through.

For sure, this is the most snow we've had on the ground in many many winters, sad to say. We usually have several major thaw melt downs along the way. Tired of shoveling but will do it gladly to keep the skiing good, keep it coming!

NYS Mesonet this am. Overnight lows: Piseco -23, Newcomb -17, Old Forge -15, Tupper Lake -14. Those temps make for some really squeaky snow.

Got that right, tri lakers are getting hosed big time. 50 cents less in Plattsburgh? Even out in Star Lake, serious middle of nowhere, 30-40 cents less than tri lakes? Potsdam/Canton also getting hosed like the tri lakes but Malone is way less? Makes absolutely no sense.

Apparently the wound wasn’t healing properly so she had surgery on Thursday and they put in a drain. So she will be off the circuit for longer than expected. Bummer.
