Did anyone hear if Sagamore will be open tomorrow?

On sagamore the tower guns can’t get snow out to the middle of the trail so the movable guns are used.

Good conditions today although the hard pack was coming through the 3 inches of fresh snow in places. Light to moderate snow through the morning. Should be good tomorrow.

Snow guns still going on sagamore so I doubt it will open tomorrow.

@snoloco why are they using so many moveable guns where they have tower guns installed?

Not sure if you're referring to a specific trail or not. On 46er, many of the guns were pinned to rocks and installed by hand, rather than being drilled into the ground. Some of those rocks tipped over, making the guns attached to them useless. As far as other locations, it should be noted that the air hog style guns can produce more snow than low-e guns, but because they use so much air, not as many can be run at once. So you'll sometimes see them mixed in with low e guns, providing extra snow to areas where it is deemed necessary, but for most snowmaking, the low e guns work fine, and by using less air, more can be in use at once.

I lasted only till till noon at Song today.
Wind was howling in spots but the ride up wasn’t bad.
I think NW wind blew the snow off Otisco Lake to spots at Song.

Guns on 46er tonight.

They also moved a few guns onto the Hudson trail and were running them mid-day today. I don't think I've ever seen that before.
