The whole premise of the phase out was to help the environment.
So now every HVAC service truck in the US will be carrying considerable extra weight. R-32, R454b new recovery equipment to deal with the flammability AL2 safety issue. The new equipment has refrigerant dissipation controls so if there’s a leak it disperses the vapor. So extra transportation and manufacturing eats up any earth friendly intentions.

I think they should teach thermostat in high school.
So it's like 100 out.
You have the thermostat set at 72, but the interior temperature won't go below 75.
Teenager moves the thermostat to 62.
Net effect. Nothing. Until 2am when everyone is freezing and teenager opens her window to warm up.

Heat pumps do not heat all that well and they don't cool all that well. Certainly better than nothing and you can do both with one unit. They to continue to get betterI think they should teach thermostat in high school.
