Today's Ride

Maybe so but you definitely don’t come to Arkansas for the food. This area is right up there with south west Utah for having the blandest and most basic food I’ve ever experienced.
Hah, yea I'm sure. We overnighted in a vineyard in Altus on our Grand Canyon trip a few years ago , the wines were pretty good and had a decent supper in a bizarro Swiss/German winery and restaurant, I remember the fondu app was amazing!

First ride of the season, pretty good grip, only went down once.

I’ve mostly been doing hot laps in the little bike park out at Slaughterpen. There’s a little four pack there that’s fun enough for me. I’ll check out HCH soon.

The Castle? I was on ebike and crushed that section....Dragon Scales is my fav... There was a cool section behind my condo, had a paved flow trial and was near the museum.

No, not the Castle. I’ve done two laps there and it was ok but I’m not super stoked on it tbh. I might like a lot more of the stuff here if I had an e-bike but for peddling the dh’s don’t feel worth the climbs so I’ve been sticking to more compact jump lines to get more bang for my buck. I’m mostly working on my jumping skills these days but slowly and taking baby steps since going down at 49 isn’t optimal.

This is that little bike park. The jump line I’ve been sessioning is to the left. It’s four decent sized hits in a row with an immediate return that takes about 3-4 minutes. I find repetition to be the best path toward progression so hot laps at spots like this make the most sense.
