Plattekill Conditions

I always assumed 28 degrees was the minimum for making snow. Maybe with snowmax you could go warmer. (No idea if Plattekill uses snowmax.)

Humidity is a key factor too.

So yea it looks like 28 degrees is the max temperature under ideal conditions.

Anybody who is still holding a glade day ticket voucher should probably use it this weekend. Barring a major last second shift in the weather, things could start happening fast.

Leaning towards Plattekill tomorrow, but those bare spots on Freefall are giving me pause. Any idea how Upper Face, Northface, and Blockbuster are holding up @Brownski? I might hit Plattekill early, then pass through Windham and use my pass in the afternoon. Haven't been able to make it up much this season, so I'm trying to maximize the day. Thanks!

Northface, Plunge, Face and Block are all holding up and skied great today. It was a fantastic day of spring skiing. Hero snow, high quality corn everywhere. Now is the time for haste. If you can go tomorrow then go. Forget about Windham.

Nice day so far here at Plattekill. Triple side is riding soft and fast. Double is a bit firmer with a few bare patches that are easily avoided. So far —> Upper Face, Lower Face, Shredded Mozzarella, Blockbuster, Plunge, Lower Plunge, Northface, and Just Do It, Freefall up next.

Glad to hear. The triple side faces east so it gets that morning sun. The double side doesn’t get direct sun til the afternoon. Yesterday we took a run down freefall about 1 and you could feel the difference between the turns that were in the sun and the turns that were in the trees’ shadow
