I'm headed their tomorrow for a week. Low tide year so far. Can you guide me to the areas on the mountain that week accumulate the best snow. I'll be skiing with a bunch of high intermediate skiers. I would like to figure on specific pods so I don't waste time traveling around the mountain aimlessly.
The tram should have a credit card machine at the entrance. If there is no line I would ski up and swipe my card. I don't like the idea of shelling out 40 bucks with the possibility of running into a 45 minutes wait.

Ya can say that again. Better put the coffee pot away for a bit.

Very cool. I haven’t been following their conditions. They are known for the steeps but the cruisers are awesome. You can get from one area to another surprisingly quick. Andesite has some zippy runs. Elk Park is my favorite and the Thunderwolf chair rarely gets crowded. Shedhorn has some great low angle terrain. A few trails like Sunlight see grooming. Check the grooming report. It faces south so it warms up quick over there. Sometimes it can get sun effected. You can get there by traversing from the top of Swiftcurrent through the trees into Dude Park. There’s a yurt over there with beers and brats. Moonlight is the best place to hide when it gets busy. It faces north so it can be shaded by the mountain up high. Long cruisers over there. There is a base area too that is less of a shit show. The tram isn’t really worth it in poor conditions, especially if you have to wait. You should definitely hit it up though. The ride and the views are spectacular. Strong intermediates can handle Liberty Bowl. Wait for good visibility and they just have to take their time. Challenger isn’t recommended for intermediate skiers. It can be really boney up there. The best run IMO is Upper Morningstar to Gun Mount to Mr. K. Whenever I ski the Big Couloir I link it up with that run. It’s the best. Not sure if you plan on going to Yellowstone but I highly recommend it. Hit up the Corral for breakfast. Get the old school snowcoach to Old Faithful. Hit up the 320 Ranch for dinner on the way back.

Yeah TJF,
I have you covered. Walk on trams all day, every day. as of this morning, it’s the worst skiing we have ever seen for this time of year. But it’s snowing and there’s some more in the forecast. I can always find something to do.
I haven’t posted here in quite a while. I can’t believe snoloco was here. I would have done something mean. I must know Ripitz. I’m surprised that so many people here know so much about BS.
Still have my phone number? You can go to the tram and ask the tram ops or ticket checkers where I am. I will mak sure they have my number
High Intermediates? I don’t care if they are stoned but the tram is at varsity level right now. I can’t believe that you’re calling Scotty an intermediate. Bring rock skis.
re fastest chair in N. America: the new chair is nice because of the bubble but it doesn’t run fast. When the bubbles are up it slows the chair 30%. And it costs 50% more to run it over 70% of it’s full power. And our increased flights to the Southern States means that every. 10 chairs people fall getting on or off so it stops a lot

This is a view of the South face from shedhorn chair.
Oooof. That looks gnarly. What the fuck happened to the Wave Wall? Looks like they blew it up.
