Craftsbury stored enough snow from last year, all spring/summer/fall to spread out a 2K loop.

And Whitegrass got close to a foot out of a 3” storm in their snowfields by having the snow fence in position with the incoming wind.

Not Nordic but Sunshine Village in Banff has got snow farming downing to a fine art. Since they operate within a national park, no snowmaking is allowed. My nephew worked on the Trail Crew there for quite a few years, most of their job is moving snow fences around and being snow farmers. That would be extra hard work in the high alpine.
