My kid's school system just canceled all afternoon activities because forecasting 2 inches of snow.
Ski club is canceled because of snow !
Any little bit of snow is like a breaking urgent headline - run to grocery store, cancel all activities, top header of online newspaper.......
We live in the North East - it snows - no biggie.

The realities of population numbers and it's impacts on our current infrastructure. Throw in a little two inch snow wrench and the whole engine goes to shit.

We had two inches fall here last Saturday that resulted in an 80 car pile up on the 40 killing two people. Schools don't want to take any chances with peoples kids.

Again, everything has become so shitty because of too many damn people.

Only if we could slow down human reproduction.

My kid was ! He comes home and asked if we could still go.
I said the pass is a Ski Club pass and only works on certain dates and times.

It is raining now - the roads are fine now - just wet

Side note - had a friend that grew up in Ottawa - moved to the states, had kids and was completely dumbfounded on the school getting canceled because of snow. He said school never closed when he was young.
