SAD, but make it hot

Looks like an interesting article but I’m paywalled. What’s the gist of it?
I am skeptical, and I don’t like to belittle anyone’s diagnoses, but it just is an article about people who have summertime seasonal affective disorder instead of winter. Not related to skiing necessarily.

Some combination of pollen, humidity, and general anxiety about social situations.

I am a firm believer that having a winter outdoor activity that you pursue (skiing, ice fishing, pond hockey, hell even snowmachining) will significantly reduce winter time SAD. And I feel the same about summer. Some amount of fresh air, exercise, endorphin rush, and fellowship would cure most of these cases.

This is why I started skiing.
