ORDA Discount For NY Residents?

Hey, new guy here. I apologize in advance if this has been discussed before. But recently I got to thinking why doesn't ORDA offer NYS Residents any kind of discount?
I assume they are funded by taxpayers. Please correct me if am wrong. I am actually shocked this hasn't been asked before. I hope I don't sound like I am bashing ORDA. I think they have made some beneficial improvements. Sure Whiteface will always be the crown jewel. But in recent years Gore AND Bellayre have both seen improvements. I don't mind that some of my tax dollars have paid for that. But I think they could give us a break...

Yup. Cannon in NH offers deals to NH residents. ORDA must think that most of the customer base comes from NYS (which is probably true), so they see no reason to give discounts to NYS residents. I could be wrong, but something tells me I'm not too far off the mark.

You may as ask why they have such shitty uphill policies? I believe the consensus is they are "the DMV of ski areas" need we say more?

I haven't looked into their uphill policies. What's the deal?

I guess it makes sense that most of the folks skiing at these places are NYS Residents. But they could throw us a bone to make it feel like we are getting something back. If Cannon can do it in the Live Free Or Die state, ORDA should be able to do it here

NYS taxpayers includes a lot of folks. Income taxes, property taxes, sales taxes...
Where do ya draw the line?
We have hard time drawing lines for where The Upstate is.

That was my point.
