I'm trying to remember something related to where I used checked skiing conditions and "pictures of the day" and stuff like that, and I believe there was some discussion board of some type as well, prior to being part of this site or TGR, this would have been late 90s to early/mid 2000's, so middle school/highschool era for me on some dial-up in our "computer room" lol...was it called RSN? Was it a forum too? No luck on google, figured a bunch of you guys would know as you were likely active on it and perhaps it ultimately led you here. I know this is a random question but I was looking at a bunch of old skiing stuff and thought about what we were doing in that time internet ski conditions wise, and just couldn't quite remember what that RSN (if I got that right) platform was all about...was that the go to spot for local internet skiing discussion at the time? I think TGR was around (I wasn't on there back then) - prob a bunch of other sites too I don't even know about...

Blast from the past!
It was definitely RSN. Twas a tough crowd over there --- lol
That was a fun place and where I not only cut my teeth, but also got me teeth kicked in, on my first internet ski forum. Fun times.
It was def RSN that lead me to our beloved NYskiblog.

So was it like a daily report written by someone with a picture of the day or just a forum? I seem to remember popping on there daily for a picture from somewhere on the mountain to see what it was looking like, as there was not yet webcams, Facebook/insta, smartphone for texting pics etc etc

Yes, they gave daily reports on ski conditions. Actually, that's how I found the place. My buddy and I were heading to WF for a long weekend. I googled WF and RSN popped up. While searching for a condition report within the site I came across a WF thread. That's where it all started. Maybe 1999ish?
