Bad Nachos

One of my routines when skiing at Gore is to head to tannery Pub and get a Draft beer and to order wings and nachos, with chili, to share with my family. Its warms us up and allows a slight rest for us older folk. The last weekend I did the ritual with my wife and we found the nachos to be inedible. I am a school teacher and our cafeteria serves better nachos. Its a shame because this was our routine for 5-6 years. The quality was sub par.

That's a bummer - especially since they probably weren't cheap.
I will say ....so far the food i have bought at Whiteface is pretty good.
$5 for a decent hot dog at the Legacy Lodge - to me ...isn't a bad price and the hot dog was a good size.
The hamburger was decent enough and came with lettuce, onion and tomato.
Last year, the falafel sandwich was legit and very good !
Breakfast sandwich is pretty good and big.
They have all been from the cafe and I haven't been to any of the sit down restaurants at the mountain.

How does one f up nachos?

What made them inedible?

Whatever it was you’d have to seriously not give a f to make a bad plate of nachos. It ain’t rocket appliances.

I feel your pain, Mr McManus. It’s one thing to get ripped off for good food. Paying through the nose for shitty, stale or poorly prepared junk food is infuriating. I’m declaring this the official shitty food and service at ski areas thread. Vent away

Ya can also read about in the F Vail thread. There’s some dang dining reviews previously posted there.
