West Mountain is in Queensbury, New York, just outside the Adirondack Park on West Mountain Road. It’s the local hill for the Glens Falls region. West has 31 trails ranging in difficulty from easy green trails to more advanced black diamond trails and some glades. There is also a tubing park near the Main Lodge, with 10 chutes.
There has been significant investment in the mountain over the last decade, especially for a small independent. West Mountain has 100% snowmaking and has replaced most lifts with newer quads and triples. West is known for it’s Business Man’s Lunch Special, which includes a $35 lift ticket good for two hours of skiing and lunch. In addition West is known for it’s night skiing and it’s support of telemark skiing with weekly get-togethers.
